Decided to update my progress chart since my old one was missing the last two years.
---
2004: Started to draw seriously at the age of 15. Mainly used MS Paint and Oekaki boards.
2005: Lack of internet suddenly resulted in me drawing with traditional media. Mainly used coloured pencils.
2006: Got the net back and tried out Photoshop for the first time. Scanned in pencil and used a mouse to line are colour my work.
2007: Bought my first cheapy tablet and started using Open Canvas since it had smoother brushes.
2008: Started playing around with different poses. Still using OC and PS. Got used to sketching on the tablet instead of with pencil.
2009: Got paint tool SAI and began developing my drawing and colouring style.
2010: Focusing more on just having fun drawing fanart rather than actually improving. Drew A LOT.
2011: Drawing style has started to gradually mature and the colouring has gotten softer? Had a bit of a crisis this year where I hated everything I drew and got pretty unmotivated. Hopefully this improves later on in the year. Now 22.
Seeing these charts always helps to lift my spirits, since they remind me that even amazing artists started out on the ground level and worked their way up, so I can too.
T.T This deviant really drives home you know? :/ I mean for me at least. I haven't really been drawing humans that much cuz I think I really stink at them. But this kinda makes me realize that if I work at it, I can become better.
this is amazing
Especially from 2007-2008 an 2009-2010 it seems! Keept it up!
