I love all the pattern work, especially on the clothing. It is very detailed and interesting. I actually like how you used the same pattern for the hair, wings and background. My only thoughts on the patterns in the wings and hair compared the the background, is the use of color. If you had made the background a different color, Or the wings and hair pattern a more purple/pinkish then it would have stood out a bit more. Possibly reversing the transparency of the three. (Hair and wings darker more opaque and background more transparent?)

The shading is beautiful, I love your soft shading. The detail in the face and especially the sticker... bandage thing on his cheek. Wonderful detail! <3

Aha! Now here's what I'd hoped you'd try: mixing some bold textures and shapes in with your figures - very nice! This could even be taken a step further into the lineless style you've been experimenting with.

I would suggest a few more flat shapes in there, however - the image is a bit too texture heavy and the repitition of the patterns on the wall, wings and hair doesn't really help. It's important to separate a character from their background - especially if you've already started to do it using shadows.

The type of adjustment layer you've used for the pattern on the background has added some unflattering colour noise; some more of that lovely tangerine by Ritsuko's left shoulder works well next to the magenta of his hair and wings - or perhaps even a lighter tuquiose to complement his top... The texture on the eyes is a bit of overkill.

It's a nice pose though! His arm might be a little thick, though, and watch the angle of the head - you've turned it a little more than 180 degrees, which starts making things look a little odd - especially twisting his shoulders so much the opposite way.

The petals to the top left are a fantastic touch, and hell, you've made the fairy brush WORK XD
